The Balaklava Racing Club was founded in 1903.

The Balaklava Cup is the premier country race meeting, holding all industry records for attendance, betting turnover and stakemoney.

This is a truly amazing event where more than 12,000 people “take the day off” on a Wednesday in September and travel to the little town of Balaklava 100kms north of Adelaide for a day of fun, food, fashion, wine and great racing.

People enjoy the day in whatever fashion - enjoying the many public bars and food facilities to five-star dining in the lavish Corporate Marquees.

The atmosphere is all about fun and festivity and everyone just can’t get enough of the experience!
