Hayes Hoping to Continue his Fairytale Run in the Cinderella

Since 1974 the Hayes family have won the Cinderella Stakes 15 times. The legendary Colin Hayes has won the race a record eight times but David will be hoping he can grow closer to the feats of his father when his runner Downloads lines up in Saturday's Listed feature.

Downloads contested both the fillies Blue Diamond Preview races and in February's edition was only three lengths off stablemate Enbihaar who went on to flash home for second in the Blue Diamond. Paul Gatt will ride the Hayes filly and will be looking to add a second Cinderella victory to his name after winning the 2001 edition aboard Tony McEvoy's Russian Caravan.

McEvoy will be looking to continue his dominant season with the two-year-olds with his two runners, Black Champagne and Yulong Star. Black Champagne was a very impressive winner at Murray Bridge earlier this month where she won her debut race by close to six lengths. Jason Holder will once again take the ride on the filly after steering her to victory at Murray Bridge. Jamie Kah will partner McEvoy's other runner Yulong Star, who is a debutant but did win her Casterton trial by 1.25 lengths earlier this month.

The other runner with a win to her name will be Viennese Miss from the Aaron Purcell yard. The filly narrowly defeated the Darren Weir trained Krone in her debut race at Moonee Valley at the start of February. Linda Meech is set to come across from Victoria to ride Viennese Miss while Krone will look to turn the tables on the Purcell filly.

The Sydney based filly, Miss Blumenthal is the only other runner in the field who has had race experience and is an interesting runner from the Anthony & Edward Cummings yard who don't send too many runners to Adelaide. She has finished ninth and seventh in her two race starts but should be respected coming down from Sydney. Emily Finnegan will take the ride, her first Stakes ride as a senior jockey.

Humma Humma, Texas Lil, Thrillstar and Yulong Star are the four debutants in the race and will face a large task to claim the races with the last debut winner being the Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas trained Secret Status back in 2011.
