Terry takes over at Racing.com host

Racing.com announced yesterday that racecaller Terry McAuliffe will take over the role as the South Australian host of their channel.

McAuliffe has been the iconic voice of South Australian racing for the past 20 years and has been race calling for over 30 years.

He will replace current host, Adam McGrath who after a year and half in the job, has moved to Melbourne to take up a role in the Racing.com studios at Flemington.

McAuliffe called 20 Adelaide Cups and numerous Group 1 races in his time behind the microphone at Morphettville.

Upon hearing the news yesterday, TRSA Chief Executive Officer, Jim Waters reflected on McAuliffe’s new appointment.

"Terry is undoubtedly one of Australia's finest commentators and we're extremely fortunate to have him in South Australia,"

"While it's a shame that we won't have him calling the races anymore, we are delighted to hear that he'll be adding to South Australian racing with Racing.com and we look forward to this next chapter."

McAuliffe will join form analyst James Jordan on your screens from mid-July.
