RACE 1 - 12:10PM Wedding at Bridges Event Centre / SABOIS Maiden Plate (1800 METRES)

MELODY MAN was placed behind Denreklaw on debut before a good effort taking ground off King And King last time. Tricky gate but has Todd Pannell and looks a perfect opportunity for him to break through. PASSING PHASE ran well first-up here behind Born To Play then jumped up in class and made good ground behind Double Blue in town. She did some work and stick on gamely at Gawler last week. Deserves to break through and will be a major factor here from a good barrier. PRINCESS EVASIVE was only fair at her SA debut behind King And King. She draws well and looks an improver. ROUGH BEAUTY was in the market on debut at Casterton. She was with Paul Preusker before coming to Garret Lynch and must be kept safe.

SELECTIONS: MELODY MAN, Passing Phase, Princess Evasive

RACE 2 - 12:45PM Carlton Draught / SABOIS Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)

WHO RUNS THE WORLD ran OK behind Theresabearinthere three back before a very good effort before Allez Sur Le Gris at Gawler. She jumped up sharply in class behind Instant Celebrity last time and has been freshened for this. The stable has an imposing record here and she gets her chance. PRINCESS SIRI is a $330k yearling now in the Will Clarken stable. She trialled well at Balaklava and had another decent hit-out in a recent Morphettville jump-out. SWEET MINSKY did some work and stuck on well at Naracoorte behind Ultimate Victory last time out. GENERAL MINT was backed to run favourite before being beaten five lengths behind Xingyun at Gawler last time. SMOKIN’ VAL is a debutant from the Jon O’Connor stable and she was runner-up in a recent jump-out and must be kept safe.

SELECTIONS: WHO RUNS THE WORLD, Princess Siri, Smokin’ Val

RACE 3 - 1:20PM TAB / SABOIS Maiden Plate (1400 METRES)

GHARAAM is a three-year-old filly making her debut for Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable. She is a half-sister to Almalad who won five of nine starts including the Group 1 JJ Atkins and went around in the 2014 Cox Plate. She’s unseen publicly but is sure to take some beating on breeding alone. CASINO SEVENTEEN was sent out a $2.60 favourite at his SA debut when second behind The Great Martini at Naracoorte. He draws the inside and gets his chance to bounce back. TALAMO is another of the former New Zealanders to join the Michael Hickmott team and was in the market at his only run when beaten more than 10 lengths at Te Rapa. LUTZ has trialled well behind Chosen Blonde and Lady Dunmore at Balaklava. The blinkers go on and Jason Holder booked to ride. CLUB DOUBLE placed behind Annika and Gede at his first two starts before going to the paddock after running down the track at Gawler behind Lisette. HI SMOKEY has been around the mark at his past four and had good support when a two-length third behind Xingyun last time. IRONICAL is lightly-raced and was runner-up at Penola two starts back before running fourth behind Budget King and comes into this race fresh. PLYMPTON ran well last time when fourth behind Tibetan but draws the car park.

SELECTIONS: GHARAAM, Club Double, Casino Seventeen

RACE 4 - 1:55PM Riverscape Food & Wine Benchmark 62 Handicap (1600 METRES)

CONCONI ran super at nice odds last start when she was on speed and only cut down late by Pearl Bandit. She was runner-up behind Royalty here three starts, draws a perfect gate and loves the sting out of the track. LISETTE looks ready to peak third up from a spell. She was good first-up behind Exalted Lauretta art Gawler and then again good behind Pearl Bandit and CONCONI last time. She draws out, but arguably should have won her only start here and looks right in this. TABERNA was very good three back when running second behind Sadente, but her two runs since have been only fair. She draws a good gate and drops sharply in weight. DESIDERO has been racing well, winning twice on the dirt at Port Augusta. He was sent out favourite here two runs back and must be respected. ALLACCIATO is a former Kiwi with Michael Hickmott. She hasn’t raced for almost a year but has raced a Group 1 level back home. She’s likely to need the run but betting will be the best guide. MAORI MAGIC ran a super race at a price last time when gave a big kick and was only reeled in late by Rapid Raiser. He draws well.

SELECTIONS: LISETTE, Conconi, Taberna

RACE 5 - 2:30PM Bridges Event Centre Rating 0-58 Handicap (1200 METRES)

CARBONE has been in great form, winning three on the bounce at Gawler. He got a mile back before being beaten 1.5 lengths behind Carlaluisa last time. That form is solid for this and he must be respected. BRIMARVI ROOBOY turned thing around to win smartly at Gawler last time. That form has been franked by Hateech winning since. IS THAT SO is a former New South Wales five-year-old now in his second prep with Sue and Jason Jaensch. His first couple of starts in SA were OK and he’s been placed at all three first-up starts. Plenty to like about the first-up run of DEXSTRA at Morphettville when he flashed home late beaten 3.9 lengths behind the very smart Deep Dive. He’s always been a horse with ability but has just one win from 19 starts. THE ANT’S PANTS ran super in a handy race three runs back but has been only fair since. He can improve sharply. JIVE BABY was a winner here back in February and ran well first-up.

SELECTIONS: CARBONE, Dextra, Brimarvi Rooboy

RACE 6 - 3:05PM Spry Civil Construction Rating 0-58 Handicap (1200 METRES)

Looks a nice race for TRIP who has run really well at both runs back from a spell. She was on speed and only beaten 2.6 lengths first-up behind Ice Ghost before another sound run behind Ready Sunshine in Saturday grade last time. She was scratched form last Saturday in preference to this and looks well graded. CRYPTO CURRENCY was a Gawler winner three runs back and then was on speed when running fifth behind Rothmoore up in class. He ran well again behind Carlaluisa. NEVER SHORT was a Naracoorte winner back in March. He got a long way back first-up at Bordertown and was again a long way off the leaders at Naracoorte last time out. He draws an inside gate and the blinkers go off. LI’L HANK was a winner here in March, while SEGUIMIENTOS ran well at his local debut, beaten just 1.7 lengths. KIROSHIMA has been placed at four of seven starts here and draws a handy gate. LIPPSY SHUFFLE was runner-up behind Carbone two back and only beaten 2.7 lengths behind I’m A Legend in a handy race last time. BLIND CHANCE gets in well with the claim.

SELECTIONS: TRIP, Crypto Currency, Never Short

RACE 7 - 3:40PM Gold Cup Friday 16 October Benchmark 54 Handicap (1000 METRES)

Wide open race and happy to be with GRINZINGER EXPRESS, who was a winner here in May before two good efforts in city class races behind Midnight Storm and Really Discreet. He went for a break after running down the track behind Really Discreet in June but likes the sting out of the ground and looks well placed. AUSTRALIAN DESIGN is a dual winner on soft going and had specking behind Masterati at Gawler last time. He could be an improver from the nice gate. EXALTED GOLD races well here and is back in class on his last couple. RUSTLE UP has a win and six placings from 12 starts. She won her maiden beating Melhoopen here in March and was in the market at both runs before a break. Home track for the in-form Sam Burford stable. TURF TAPPER was a good Bordertown winner five runs back and did a good job behind Crimson Tycoon at Bordertown, before only battling again behind Hateech at Gawler last week. He does handle all conditions but is placed at just one of five runs here. FABULOUS FLIPPER was on speed and only battled late behind Ready Sunshine here last time but has proven soft-track form. COMIENDO is a Warrnambool galloper who has a win and three placings from 11 starts. Draws wide but Jason Holder takes the ride. VALLIANO was a Morphettville winner back in December, is a winner first-up and has a good record here.

SELECTIONS: GRINZINGER EXPRESS, Australian Design, Turf Tapper

RACE 8 - 4:15PM Fibretrack Benchmark 58 Handicap (Heat 7 NJT Series) (2000 METRES)

WHITE HEATH was good at Balaklava two back, running second behind Kalamon, before another handy effort in stronger company behind Resurge here last time. He gets out to 2000m here and looks ready to fire. REINVIGORATE has been solid since joining the Andrew Clarken stable and comes in fresh after a good effort behind Cobber’s Mate at Gawler. PERSIAN EMPIRE flashed home behind Just Rolling here two back, before he was well backed to run favourite when beaten just over two lengths behind Drop The Orange last time. MATAS is a lightly-raced, progressive stayer who resumes here and will need the run. KARAOKE EXPRESS has been working towards a win and draws a nice gate. AMMO LOCO can run into the multiples.

SELECTIONS: WHITE HEATH, Reinvigorate, Persian Empire
